The Adopt-A-Park Program allow citizens and/or organizations to become public stewards of Elkhart Parks through a collaborative partnership between them and the Elkhart Parks and Recreation Department. The goal of this program is to provide community pride around the City of Elkhart Parks.
Park Adopters serve as key community representatives for their park by making an ongoing commitment to improving their park. They also encourage engagement with neighbors and park users, and ultimately bring greater innovation and creativity to the park system.
The mission of the Adopt-A-Park Program is to build a sense of community pride around our Elkhart parks. The City of Elkhart Parks and Recreation Department believes that the success of the Elkhart Parks System depends on the support, assistance, advocacy, and enthusiasm of the community. Through this program, we seek to find the best practices and strategies to work together to enhance the park system.
The Adopt-A-Park Program is by application only. Please contact Mandi Null, Volunteer Coordinator, for more information at 574-295-7275 ext. 1086 or mandi.null@coei.org.
