Elkhart Municipal Airport

The Elkhart Municipal Airport (EKM) is one of the finest General Aviation airports in Indiana. We have 3 runways, including a grass turf strip for tail draggers. Our highly-trained Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) communicate with all aircraft flying below 3000 feet within a 5-mile radius of the tower. ATC also control operations on the Elkhart's Upper St. Joseph River sea plane water runway. Corporate jets from all over the United States use EKM for business and commerce which helps drive our local economy and creates sustainable jobs. Local sport pilots also like EKM because of our amenities. Some of these include an instrument landing system, competitively priced hangar rents and low fuel prices. We occasionally host aviation-themed events as well as school field trips. We place a high value on the education of young people. Many of our pilots tell us their first visit to an airport planted a seed that grew into a love for flying and a career in aviation.
