Help cleanup our Elkhart River from the water! Canoes, paddles, and PFDs (personal floatation devices) are provided, along with trash pickers, gloves, and bins.
Canoers travel the Elkhart River collecting trash from places that are difficult to reach from shore. Stops along the route allow canoe volunteers to empty their collections throughout the trip.
This year's cleanup will begin at the Elkhart Environmental Center (1717 E Lusher Ave, Elkhart, IN 46516) and travel down the river to American Park.
Canoe spaces are limited and are available to those 12 & older. Each spot must be reserved by individual accounts who have submitted a complete waiver before registering. If you have questions or issues registering, please contact EEC staff at EECmail@coei.org.
