Parking volunteers are an essential part of this event--not only are they the first staff that visitors meet but they also keep traffic flowing, keep pedestrians safe, and get cars in and out in an efficient way. Parking volunteers are stationed at the main gate, overflow parking, and main parking lot. They stay in communication via walkie-talkies to monitor available spots in the main and overflow lots and to accurately direct cars where to go. They also keep an eye out for pedestrians crossing in the main parking lot. Traffic is one-way to keep things safe and simple. High-vis vests and wands along with walkie-talkies are provided.
